I've done two atf fluid changes at 105k and 130k but no software update. Haldex also feels like it needs a service so not sure if that's an issue? The hesitation seems to coincidence with the noise the haldex makes when pulling away, three or four short bursts of a sort of scuffing noise. |

you could take the prop of and see if it makes any difference, trouble is noises can confuse you and throw red herrings sometimes. |

That's exactly the symptoms I have but it only lasts 5 to 10 secs then returns to normal. Neen happening once or twice a day, then I changed the crank sensor and it's gone to chugging almost stalling rather than no throttle response at all. |

Are you sure it’s not one of the sensors on the throttle pedal? Fly by wire controls that are fitted don’t have a physical connection between pedal and fuel pump, just an electrical circuit controlled by computer chips, with inputs and feedback loops. Your foot might have commanded increased engine speed but do you know that the signal got to the fuel system? |

No idea, can the pedal unit be checked? New unit from LR is about 260 ish, so a bit pricey just to try it. Could always get one from a breakers I suppose |

You’d need an OBD device see outputs from the throttle sensors and compare demanded and actual fuel rail pressure to compare what was asked for and what was given. |

I've got a cheap obd dingle and car scanner pro app but not a proper code reader. I'm assuming it will only show a problem when the fault occurs, so not easy to diagnose when the fault isn't occurring.

CarScanner can do data logging, you just have to connect up your phone and remember to disconnect again at the end of the journey. Not certain it will log demanded verses actual throttle positions or fuel rail pressures but it does give instantaneous readings as graphs. |

I can't find the posts, but I am sure that I have read, either on this site or Landyzone, about problems with worn Accelerator Pedal 'Sender?' units. That would give you your symptoms. Also have you seen this posts with similar? symptoms. https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic39328.html It looks as if it was cured with a new MAF sensor.
