Folks - having the throttle body replaced today - does the car need to be told that a new part has been fitted? via the ODBC port? |

many people have changed the throttle body and not had a calibration and everything was fine yes a calibration would be a good idea but my personal opinion is that the Ecu reads the parameters and recalibrates to the new throttle body settings I have changed a couple now and after a bit of wiring and clicking from the new TB on initial ignition on everything seemed to be ok. Before members start giving me stick "Remember this is only my opinion" |

Hi Suckfish. How did the throttle body replacement go? did it need re-calibration, why was it being changed had the internal cogs worn if so there is a kit to repair. |

Would agree, just fit and forget. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
