I was a little tired of looking at the worn, scratched inner handles in grey, not complementing anything inside or outside, now that I run an ever so slight black theme as a contrast thig. Ordered a set og genuine Land Rover gloss black inner handles plus a new tank filler strap. That is fine, as the backside of the inner door handles, already are black from factory. I think it goes well with the other few black things inside and outside. I will for sure retain the black plastic trim on the outside. It's an off-roader, not a street racer. For that I use my Esprit.

I have had the emmence pleasure of sitting in the cockpit of a Vulcan in Coventry with an handlebar moustached exRAF chap explaining all about the aircraft including the curtains over the side portal windows to shield one from the glare of a nuclear explosion. Serious stuff. Only the pilot and co-pilot had ejector seats, the remaining 3 crew members had to bale out through the hatch underneath. The statistics are harsh: 50% of co-pilots and 30% of pilots escaped, but only 9% of rear crew. Pilots sometimes didnt eject to try and give time for the rear crew to bale. Jules |

There is a certain 'something' about old aeroplanes, they have a certain smell for one thing.

On my SE i6, drained all coolant out, flushed the whole coolant system 4 times, and then used Castrol Radicool Si-OAT antifreeze/demineralized water 50/50, following procedure as per work shop manual.

On Friday I used one of those cheap dent puller kits to reasonable effect on a dent just aft of the fuel filler flap that has been there since before I've owned it.
