Don't believe they ever used the 2.2 diesel engine, think they were 2.0 4 cylinder and possibly the 5 cylinder D5.

The two vehicles share some DNA, but use a lot of different components, including engines, gearboxes and driveline components.

What @Nodge68 said, my LR2/FL2 2008(made in 2007) i6 is a Volvo engine. There are other Volvos models that use that engine as well. |

The XC60 has moved on since it's 'Ford' days, but it is lovely inside and about the right size to replace a FL2.

How do you find the performance of the headlights? I understand they are available in mid and high versions , also with Matrix ( very rare ).

The PHEV XC60 is a possible successor to my FL2, whenever that day comes.

Wow - didn't realise XC60 luggage capacity was comparatively so low compared with FL2.

Jules are you sure that FL2 capacity with seats up is correct? FL2 SD4 XS 2013 Orkney Grey |

I wonder if the FL2 figure of 755l includes the spare wheel well as many originally came with a canister and pump rather than a spare wheel. Some sources quote space as 405l which sounds more like it to me. FL2 SD4 XS 2013 Orkney Grey |

We do find that the boot space is a little on the smaller size at times, but then years ago we had a Volvo estate and that spoiled us. |
