At a rated 225miles on a full charge 90miles is somewhat less than half its non towing range, I only quoted 1600kg van as that was the size of the van the guy was towing, also most 1600kg vans seem to be about the same frontal area, length and height.

Un hooking a caravan at a service station and driving away. Would it still be there when the car returns ? Some how I don’t think so |

This is definitely an issue, which I'm sure will be resolved before the complete ban on ICE vehicles. However it's only a small problem, as less than 5% of drivers ever tow a trailer. It still needs sorting though, especially as range when towing is much reduced. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Gone. 2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE. Gone. The ban is on the sale of new ice cars in 2035? Is it not?

The Ioniq 5 figures here are very misleading, but it is a concern that thefts of the Ioniq 5 are increasing. I'll be using an additional mechanical steering lock when parking in high risk locations. EVs won't work for everyone at the moment. If you don't have access to home charging on an EV tariff, then an EV isn't going to work for you, at least not are far as cost per mile goes. Obviously servicing and maintenance costs are reduced, but those are generally pretty reasonable for an ICE car in the first 3 years anyway. Once over 3 years ICE car maintenance costs generally start to increase, increasing the cost of ownership above that of an EV. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Perhaps there should be a national scheme that loaned an EV vehicle to all car owners for a week.

I had an Jaguar I-Pace for a day as a courtesy car a couple of years ago. It came fully charged so I did not have a chance to experience either charging from home or public charger, also as it was a (nice) surprise I did not have a chance to gen up on its controls or capabilities.
