I agree.

A better strategy might be to NOT change things over in a haphazard way, but to compare readings and symptoms on each vehicle as you proceed.

What ever you do please only change one bit at a time, and put back any items onto donor car (and check they still work) before moving on.

I say this because otherwise you will end up with a big heap of parts of unknown serviceability.

PS - I experienced similar problems with kits of (intermittent and hard to find faults) spare computer Printed Circuit Boards during my Service Engineer days. In fact when I became the Regional Support Engineer the first thing I did was to make sure all the Service Kits were tested and made good.
Unfortunately, at the time, it was common for engineers to semi-randomly swap PCBs and leave them in machines, but with anything electronically controlled it is possible for one unit to cause faults to appear in another. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

I agree with the above post.
Many components in the air path in particular require calibration on fitting, which means less than optimal performance until the calibration is carried out.

It's best swap a single component at a time, and if there's no change, swap back the original and try another. This way there are minimal changes requiring calibration. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

I also agree…it’s a pretty random approach. However, having swapped the fuel rail, hp pump, leak off pipes and crank and cam sensors…with no change…I tracked it down to injectors 2 and 3 leaking off like mad and injecting nothing into the cylinders. My 13 plate is now running like a dream, and a pair of used injectors for the ‘donor’ are on the way….£110 inc postage Smile
What a nice end to the week….!

Well done. Very satisfying to get a result. Sending mine to a specialist soon I hope, hopefully they are good and thorough. Every mechanic I have been to basically wants to just throw new parts at the car until it is fixed, instead of finding the one that actually needs to be fixed. MY11 SD4 SE Auto

Excellent stuff.
Don't forget that the injectors are coded, so the ECM will need the injector numbers input to the registry, or fueling won't be correct. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
