Yes, my FL2 does exactly the same. I always think "I`ll mention that at the next service" but then forget before it goes in.

I am confused now, it seems that half of the people that replied don’t experience this and others do, so is this after all considered to be a problem for the car or not? Someone told me that this is done on purpose from Landrover so as when you are travelling at the highway and you have your foot relaxed and it touches a bit on the clutch then since the petal needs more power to be pressed this helps not to wear the clutch disk accidentally Freelander 2 GS TD4, Stornoway Grey, Manual, called BEAST!!! |

As long as the clutch and everything is working and it goes away shortly after depressing the clutch I wouldn't worry about it. |

I'm currently on my fifth Freelander 2 and the first four didn't do this... The clutch is not meant to get so stiff that it's difficult to depress: that is a fault, not a design quirk! |

I have exactly the same problem with my FL2. The dealer had it for a day last week and could fine nothing obviously wrong. Now they now want if for a couple of days to have a look at the gearbox. Has anybody had this problem fixed by a dealer? |

I mentioned it at the last service and the problem seems to have got better, but not gone away completely.
