Remote locking fault

Just lately when I press the fob on my remote everything unlocks except the drivers door. Repeated pressing on the unlock switch eventually unlocks the door. It sounds like a sticking sole thingy or lack of lubricant on something. I have squirted dry lubricant into the door catch where it contacts the pillar catch but no improvement. Any suggestions other than a new lock? Ralph

Do you hear clicking inside the door each time you press the lock/unlock buttons?

If you do, then I'd say it probably needs a bit of adjustment inside the door panel or it could be a loose wire.
If you don't, then you'll need a new door lock actuator.

*I'm no expert by the way. I'm sure others may have other suggestions/ideas.

not sure on the FL2 but with many cars the wires that connect to the door fracture in time, obviously the drivers door has most use so this should be the first to go, although tailgate wiring does see heavy use in my vehicles. Before they die completely they will start with poor connection, giving intermittant failure.

FL2 locks could be on a bus so diagnostics kit could save time. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

I bet my money that it's the door latch. I had the exact same thing happen to me three times now. Different doors. The latch is also the housing for the motor that locks the doors.
Time to change it. Sorry. Cuatro Por Cuatro

Consensus then is that it is probably the door latch that needs changing. Time to visit my local LR man at Hereford Land Rover to get the bad news. Thanks for your help guys, will let you know the outcome. Ralph
