Have a look a Volvo and Audi’s maintenance schedules for cars that use the same components. You’ll find that they recommend gearbox, PTU, Haldex and differential maintenance. |

Thank you but as I’ve said, I was looking for the actual Land Rover documents to make the case to the dealer about what should be done. I doubt they’d be impressed by Audi or Volvo documents. |

In that case you’ll never find more than the change to the cam belt schedule. Land Rover insist that the transmission components are sealed for life as it brings the apparent cost of servicing and therefore ownership down and satisfies the company car drivers accountants. By the time the components fail due to lack of maintenance Land Rover can say that the car is so far out of warranty that it’s nothing to do with them. Their new car target market doesn’t keep their cars long enough for the problems to arise and they don’t make money out of none franchised second hand dealers and mechanics doing servicing. |

If you look at the Land Rover Check Sheet posted by jules above, you’ll see that the auto box ATF is to be changed at 10 years but interestingly, while the PTU and rear diff oils were listed in the earlier Check Sheets at 10 years, they seem to have been omitted in the later ones. |

And thats why drain plugs are omitted I guess. Because when it fails the component needs to come off anyway. Jules |

Thanks, but that’s exactly what I asked for on the previous page. My daughter's car is June 2013 so doesn’t appear on the OSH - hence my initial query.
