Milo, that’s good news, that could be five boroughs now. If as you suggested in your earlier post it’s a question of road ownership and Khan being allowed to erect cameras and such, I wonder how this could develop. Whether ULEZ would simply be enforced elsewhere or if he could simply use (or create) some authority to override these specific councils? Could run a while this. |

It will be interesting to see what his next move will be, at the very least it will cause him a lot of problems and delay it. Another article had a statement from TFL saying any Boroughs that don't allow installation of the cameras will become more congested so that in its self suggest he can't just install them. 2007 TD4 XS The work horse that earns its up keep

On Sutton council site it says that he ‘could’ overrule. On the Bexley site (this being the adjoining council to mine) I read their submission against his plans - lack of any tube, tram, fast bus services etc in the area, people already struggling financially being forced to find money to meet the daily charge simply to get to work, or worse still finance the purchase of a compliant vehicle |

In my fathers street on the Bromley Catford borders which is not regarded as a poor area at least 70% of the cars parked in the street belonging to his neighbours are non compliant! Residents need to wake up and smell the coffee before it arrives by stealth whilst they are asleep! |

Saw that item, they seem to have taken the same approach as Bexley; believe the news presenter mentioned that Bromley was another dissenter. Hopefully these and other like-minded councils will be talking to each other if they’re not already doing so |

Khan has been accused today of ‘manipulating’ the consultation results. Seems he was made aware in October that the majority was against expansion proposals so he brought in pollsters to focus their attention on the younger population by hitting Snapchat and similar sites.

It is only my opinion but if you saw him interviewed about this on the TV tonight his body language told a different story to what he replied when asked a direct question about it. But like most politicians, you know when they are lying because their mouth is moving 2007 TD4 XS The work horse that earns its up keep

You mean he sought the opinions of those with most to lose if this wasn't implemented? Those who will have many years to suffer the continued blight of particulate pollution and NOX emissions? Oh how dare he. Current driveway contents: 2021 V60 Cross Country B5 2009 FL2 dog bus and shooting wagon On Order: 2023 Fisker Ocean Ultra - deposit paid. |

Well unfortunately not everyone have the finances to put deposits on incredibly expensive cars.. and as we know electric cars are certainly not as green as they claim to be…

Not sure of the purpose of a consultation if you’re going to disregard the publics opinion; and then to manipulate the results and it still doesn’t go your way |
