Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I have just seen an interesting piece about the London mayor on YouTube. That being the person who wants everyone to either cycle, walk or use TFL to get to work. Apparently he travels to work in a £300,000 5ltr. bullet proof Range Rover which is followed by a Discovery, presumably with his secret service security detail in.

Unfortunately I think JLR is going to be gone in the next few years.

I have read several articles in financial/motoring articles saying that JLR will cut down to only 20 or so Large Main Dealers, and has a radical plan to sale only EVs from 2025.

My old dealer (Land Rover since 1952!) decided to give up selling LR’s when faced with the massive investment needed to build LR’s new gin palace. They must be very relieved to get out when they did. |

I had the FL2 serviced at Yeovil LR last week, it used to be part of Helston garages group but is now owned by Vertu. Nothing seemed to have changed inside and the staff said that the only difference was in some business processes. However there were a lot of non JLR cars on the site around the back (I had trouble finding a parking space) and even on the forecourt. Perhaps Helston jumped ship while they could. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

There’s still half a chance! I’ve got my fingers crossed as I’m going to have to get rid of our Diesel Golf if it goes through. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-65254544 Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto Present: Audi A3 S Line. |

Oh, they played an absolute blinder on their timing. Virtu aren't exactly sobbing into their beer, but they will be pondering the price they paid. Current driveway contents: 2021 V60 Cross Country B5 2009 FL2 dog bus and shooting wagon On Order: 2023 Fisker Ocean Ultra - deposit paid. |
