When you put the discs on did you do a break service, cleaning the pins and callipers, or just remove the old ones and put the new ones on. |

contacted by the garage that did the MOT and brakes, stated this oil seal is on a back order and could take up to 6 months to get from Land Rover. Surely this cannot be the case for a simple oil seal.

cheers for that, i think ive managed to located the correct seals for the gearbox from those links and ive ordered two seals from the Famous Four web site, It looks like it only a choice of two seals for the gearbox so ive ordered them both, £22 38 including postage.

An update on this, seals arrived next day, took them to garage , wrong seals these were for transfer box to gearbox not drive shaft to gearbox.

Have you tried Volvo Ford, Peugeot/Citroën for these seals?

Just an update on the seal, Dave at Famous Four has been able to locate the seal for me going off the diagram i supplied to him.

Garage said it looks like the correct seal , however he said to me if i am to replace the springs and shockers due to my broken spring, id have to remove the drive shaft anyway from the hub, so i may as well do the seal myself as long as i make sure i put a tub under the gearbox to catch the oil that runs out when i take out the drive shaft and the seal can be replaced |
