Power steering pipes

I have just MOT'd my 2007 2.2 HSE and got an advisory for corroded power steering pipes, the main ones on the rack, can anybody advise on what parts numbers I need to order to replace these. I might as well change the reservoir while I'm at it.

if it is the one down at the bottom going to the rack i am sure it is LR029185.
Look at LRparts website for Freelander 2 steering and you will see what the pipe looks like.
Read very carefully all the previous ;posts here on this subject.

So after reading lots of posts on this issue I've decided to go all in and change the lot.
LR000578 - Reservoir (3A697)
LR001095 - Reservoir to pump hose (3691)
LR001099 - Pump to rack hose (3A719B)
LR029185 - feed / return hose (3A212B)
LR026229 - hose to reservoir (3A719A)

Lets hope all goes to plan.

That’s an awful lot of work and expense.
Go to the technical section and scroll down to the —-power steering article——
Read all that first. Jim A

Yes, it is a bit of work and if it was my car I probably would not go as far but as it's the wife's daily driver (and she will hate me for saying this, she is 70) so for my piece of mind I don't want it failing and leaving her stranded. Hopefully as the original set lasted 14 years the new ones will see us out driving it. Smile

As i am 80 next week most of my work goes to the garage now.
My garage charged me two hours labour at £56+vat.
to me well worth it. Jim A

Good value there, not many as cheap as that! My labour however is free and I'm still on the right side of 50 so tackle plenty of work myself. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Bob, being the original tight fisted Scottish person it hurts to pay a garage.
Unfortunately time and tide wait for no man.
Just back from a run round the Clyde from Largs up to Gourock, Greenock and back home.
57 mile round trip. Longest run in about two months.
3C but very cold winds and a beautiful day. We in the west seemed to have missed the worst but our time will come.
