I absolutely love it.
I previously had 2 Fl1’s that I broke.
And a much loved 1990 LR90 till about 8 years ago when it just needed too much spending on the chassis for me to afford, hence my diversion to FL.

I have just registered to the site, Im not an owner of a FL2 yet, but I have decided to replace my current high mileage Audi A6 at the beginning of next year.

I plan to keep an eye on the forums and gather information before I decide to get myself an FL2, probably an older FL2 with high mileage for my budget.

Having had many, many Landrovers over the years, now owning a 2015 Defender & a 2005 Disco 3, I’m now looking towards a Freelander II to add to the collection.

Greetings from France. I'm using a FL2 that currently need some love, leak in the AC, an android unit that never turns off and a clutch that need to be replaced.

But it's still a good all around car.

Soon to be owner of a 2012 HSE here.

Patiently waiting for the delivery of a car I've been searching looking for about 3-4 months. Found a black on black, no accidents, low mileage (13,500) on Carvana. I'm super nervous about buying a car online, but once it arrives I'll be taking it to get a PPI at the local dealership, then can return within 7 days. Praying for no major issues so the fun can begin.

Just bought a 2013 GS spec FL2 with 71000 miles on it after almost 40 years of being a company car driver. The chancellor has taxed me out of the company car so now the proud owner a FL2.

So far I am delighted with car. The car sailed through the MOT and I have an interim service and overall inspect booked with JMB Land Rover Service, Birmingham in a few weeks. Hopefully no issues are found.

The OSR door is badly creased and really needs to be replaced so if anyone has good drivers side rear door in Orkney Grey please let me know.

The only other issue is the start/ stop is not working but I suspect this because the car is still on the original OE fit AGM battery which I don’t think is holding a full charge.

Anyway great car, very knowledgeable forum which I will enjoy participating in where I can.

I am new to the group, having purchased my Freelander 2 late February 2020, just before the total lock down came to visit. So in the past 17 months have driven a huge 500 miles or so. The good thing is just how clean the vehicle is and in Izmir blue I have black gloss painted the front grill and lower stone guard in stone chip and a new lower black grill fitted. Gloss blacked the wing vents, replaced door handles with gloss black. Fitted new black gloss tail gate release and a new black tailgate spoiler. New mud flaps, side body mouldings, all badges including bonnet letters changed to gloss black, all Land Rover decals changed to black, including centre wheel trims. All new black wiper arms and lades. Refurbished the steering wheel with a professional cleaning and re colouring ket (looks good) Fire extinguisher fitted in boot area. Went from head to toe and with fine modelling btush, carefully touched up all marks and scars and scratches then full polish. Washed chassis and cleaned and re repainted the four jacking points with professional black lorry paint. I have tried to clean and re paint the front sub frame but without a lift, it is really an impossible job. Fitted chrome scuff plates to all door handles, chrome front spotlight trims along with a new pair of spots. About the last thing has been a black C pillar decal that now gives a total black line through windows, doors, tailgate etc. I love the vehicle and its comfort and ride and versatility - wish I had changed years ago. Now about me - Retired matelot and scenes of crime officer and IT teacher in FE colleges. That’s it and hello!
