All the stone chips will hide it.

It's almost near impossible to do the awning by yourself. The only chance is an additional guy rope from the centre of the outer rail, a hole needs to be drilled for the rope. Peg & hammer at ready, better still pre prepare peg so you can put the rope around. Loosen up this centre peg last for packing up.

Taut-line hitch is the best knot. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

You can get a spray can from LR for your colour. About $34 a few years ago I paid.

If it is a scratch spray a tiny bit into the lid of the can & use a Winsor & Newton series 7, size O or 1 brush etc. Shake can for a full 2 minutes. Buy one from a good arts supply.

How did you do your awning brackets as they need to be raised a few mm to clear the plastic cross bar cover?

I couldn't attach the awning to the cross bars as the rear pair with the fuel tanks have to come off the car to get in the garage. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Ended up removing plastic cap and leave off while awning on Worked out a lot easier and stronger Can just loosen and slide out

Not going to have it on whilst driving around Perth so will pop caps back on

I rotated some other pics in gallery but still remained 90 out in post Rolling Eyes

3 x 20mm 316 stainless bar will slide into the track, that is what I used to bolt the fuel tank holder down to, tapped M6. A spacer to raise the bracket a whisker above the plastic cover. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
