You have a lot going on there to get it serviceable and obviously are more than capable. You are not too far away from me and vehicles are always rustier in South Lanarkshire.

"capable" is kind but a stretch! Days like Saturday spending 10 hours covered in rust and oil remind me why garages charge the labour they do, but I'll always give it a go myself first and it's 50:50 whether it goes ok or needs to be towed to a professional Laughing

I'm getting the infamous wobble intermittently in 4/5/6 gears when it's under light load up gradual hills. I think that's a job for a local specialist, so might get that sorted before I take another go at the other engine bits. Freelander 2 TD4e GS MY2010 Stornaway Grey

If on the road ...... NO MOT ...... then NO Insurance, as it will be void, get it MOT'd before plod gets you.

Are you aware you can MOT any vehicle one month BEFORE its due date ......... and preserve its date (hence 13mths MOT)

Picked up a load of steel angle and flat bar on the roof rack (3m lengths) for my work bench project. Lots of cutting and welding planned for this weekend 😁 Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Well aware of this, vehicle sat on drive waiting for booked MOT. Since it haven't been cleaned for 18months thought I'd might as well give it a good clean. Turned out it took 3 days plus a morning to clean all the mud off the drive. 11 GS Bali Blue

I didn't go anywhere in mine today but I did have it's rear end up on car ramps so I could replace the two 7 pin sockets for the 13pin pre-wired socket although it still took me ages to painstakingly strip the wires and solder them together to form the new wiring loom Big Cry Kind regards.

On Sunday I towed a trailer with around 5 tonnes of Bradstone loaded on it that came from a wall I removed from my garden just a couple miles to my mates farm, the FL2 didn't even break sweat Thumbs Up

Have you checked the 'shut-lines' of the rear doors ??
You my have stretched the body, with that weight.
