I ordered a replacement for the lower front bumper of my FL2, took it to the garage where they are fitting a new intercooler, the mechanic looked rather perplexed when I handed him what I had bought / brought. I really should have looked more closely at what was needed! |

Fitted the rebuild diff, along with servicing the Gen4 and took it for a lovely quiet test drive. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

During lockdown, the only valid reason for leaving the house for a shielding person is for a medical procedure. So last week we maximised the experience with a picnic of Whoppers and chips overlooking the picturesque NAAFI roundabout in Aldershot. But today after a blood test, we again picnicked but went upmarket for a breakfast McMuffin WITH HASH BROWNS! overlooking the football stadium in Basingstoke. We had to have a lie down back home to get over the excitement. |

I remember my mother sending me to a NAAFI (Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes) Shop, with a note to show the shop assistant.

Went with Mrs to get our COVID jabs. Like a military operation, with a very well organised production line. Had the AstraZenica/Oxford one. No effect on me but wife had a soaring temperature in the night but OK now. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Had the Pfizer jab at the local hospital a few weeks back, no ill effects at all, not even an entry wound. Upon reflection, perhaps he never in fact vaccinated me at all

I haven’t seen the Freelander for over a week . As the bad weather hit I let my “ Social Bubble” take it to get back home . She’ll be keeping it as long as there is snow on the ground . Even then I think I might have some trouble regaining possession. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Car has had an intermittent cough/stutter at around 2000rpm for a couple of weeks. Yesterday the engine light came on but drove ok & didn’t go into limp mode. Diagnostic check showed P0299-00 turbo underboost!

New Intercooler, Intake Manifold, Fuel Filter and Provent 200 Oil Separator fitted today. As usual, several hours to undo seized and rusted out bolts, but now I’ve got through them once, shouldn’t be a problem next time. FL2 is new to me so slowly working through getting it to a state that I’m happy with it. No service history so all precautionary stuff.
