It’s a freelander 1 to the best of my knowledge.... or put it like this , it’s the shape before mine lol

Hi, I'm an angel from Southern Italy precisely from Taranto, even in Italy we have a site similar to this. I have been the owner of a freelander 2 HSE for two years. I like it a lot, unfortunately I have a problem with it, I explain myself better:
I replaced the freelander 2 motor (year 2010) with one from the evoque, with this motor I have a power cut on 2000/2500 rpm and the car is sobbing until I bring it to 3000 rpm I decelerate below the 2000 rpm.
I have done many interventions in many workshops to solve the problem, unfortunately I have not found any solution. I ask the friends of this forum if a similar situation happened to you and how you solved it

Hi there, joined as i'm looking for help with my money pit FL2
Bought it from a used LR dealer and it's been a nightmare, but we like it is general, but I need it for travel to my work.
Spent so much on it now it doesn't make sense to get rid now.
The latest problem is the intermittent refusal to start, I know it's not the battery or relay and are thinking it could be the starter solenoid, but reading some of the forums it seems there could be another issue.
I have read and had the same issue of the dashboard warning for the steering lock engaged while driving followed by refusal to start.
I have employed the belt the starter option but this is not successful and then without reason the thing starts and the problem doesn't occur for weeks, tricking you into thinking you found the fault.

Any information on this issue is very welcome, before I throw more money down the drain

Believe me I've been back to him, bought it with 11 months MOT, 3 track control rods, 2 clutches, front springs and front suspension, this year failed MOT on the work he had done for the last MOT, turns out he fitted FL1 spring which damaged the strut and caused the excessive wear on the front tires and premature failure of the CV joint.
Were taking him to court and also the garage he uses for his MOT's

Make sure you have all receipts and paperwork for anything spent on the car while in your ownership, If the small claims court finds in your favour you could be awarded the full price you paid for the car, all monies spent on repairs, lost earnings etc and compensation for the hassle caused.

Good luck with your case Jon. Sounds like you could be a winner eventually, as long as the garage does’t go bust before the case is heard.
