Are you sure you have a HSE? 13my HSE has a camera as standard.

Hello, I owned a 2010 FL2 td4 Se few weeks ago, and I find this forum very helpful. Thanks a lot to those who contributed so far.

My post in this thread on the 29th of July describes the changes required to the CCF (programming) required to activate the rearview camera.

Thank you, now it seems that I have to concentrate on ccf programming. |

Looks like I haven't posted this up before. Basic wiring outline for retrofit of the reverse camera on 13MY onwards. Should be useful for someone.

Is there an alternative camera that can be used? It seems the stated one is obsolete and unavailable

I guess you're saying it's obsolete because there are currently no on Ebay?

Looks like you have the link lead that goes from the camera to the tailgate harness. This is probably the hardest part to get hold of, but only a small step on the way to getting a rear camera installed. You'll still need the tailgate harness, fakra lead, camera, holder and holder clip. Then install it all. |

There were around 115,000 13MY onward vehicles made at Halewood. I would estimate (really off the top of my head number) around 20% included a camera, so that's around 92,000 without a camera. Considering just the fakra cable, the purchase of the pre-terminated cable and inclusion in the harness would cost around £4 (that's a more accurate number based on experience).

Interesting figures which make sense - and yes the accountants' job is to squeeze out every penny.
