Some of the screens I have no idea how I went to them, especially the testing one. |

The Carplay WinCE app does open and responds to the touch.

The energized cable made no difference, I'm guessing that the app is unable to find the USB dongle.

Seems like my dongle is faulty, it is not working in the WinCE emulator either but I'm not sure if it should.

Today I managed to get the control panel and explorer to run but apparently I can't see my USB device connected to the car, not sure if that means I can't access the USB port from the GPS yet.

Okay, well, you've piqued my interest enough that I've bought a 10E887 module!

I managed to run https://www.android-x86.org in an old computer here to make sure that the dongle is working and it is.

Update: The GPS module acts as a slave USB device and not master, meaning that we can connect to the module but the module can't connect to the dongle (or a pen drive, for instance).

I wonder if it needs a USB OTG (on the go) adapter. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a way to get the board to supply power to the port, or perhaps a hidden port (maybe one of the highlighted connectors). |

OTG made no difference even powering the device externally.

Unfortunately, I've never even got the module plugged in. Far to busy with paid work to tinker these days |
