Though a few think Glock slowed for Hamilton to win the championship, why would he? Glock wasn't the only one not to change to wets Hamilton did and was considerably faster through the last bend. What was more of question was Hamiltons first year when he should have won, the weired decision in China not to change tyres and that very odd gearbox problem that suddenly sorted itself, Bernie Ecclestone said it would be bad for F1 if Hamilton won in a rookie year, so he didn't and just to be fair neither did Alonso, Kimi lucked in, another one of those F1 years where the not chosen one lucked out or was done out. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

I can't agree. If you look at this video clip you can see that Timo Glock is being passed by most other cars because he is on the wrong tyres. Looking at this I doubt that anyone could have driven faster (look at the lack of traction and oversteer) than he did. His team made the wrong choice by not stopping to change tyres as conditions changed. Lewis Hamilton won the championship fair and square on the total points gained during the year. https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/feature...l-lap.html FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011) FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015) Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History (Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?) |

That's more cheating than strategy. |

There has always been copying in F1, to what degree seems to have been tightened up, thre was no action taken way back in the ground effect days when Williams managed to get their car very right after Lotus introduced the technology with the 76, a Lotus employee was found with a tape measure in the back of Williams truck measuring Alan Jones car, don't remember any fines in those days, perhaps that was when the regulations changed and copying became illegal to defined areas.

Honda’s departure really messes up the RB teams. Can’t see Merc or Ferrari wanting to supply them.

It's a damn shame, just as Honda were looking likely to be a real contender again. Steve
