Australia 2008 Freelander 2 i6 HSE Auto Sumatra Black

Just in case anyone is intested, the pads have bedded in now and i'm really impressed. The brakes are better than I ever expected, really nice pedal feel and it pulls up like a car with good brakes, not a 4WD. Very happy.

Dust output is a fraction of what it was before, 2 weeks of commuting & the wheels still look good. Couldn't ask for more. 2008 Freelander 2 HSE Si6 Black/Black - Hers

I bought everything off ebay.com (USA) and had them shipped to Australia, this might not be the most economical way to Italy...

The main thing to consider is:

Volvo XC90 Brake Calipers to suit 336mm brake rotors
Volvo XC70/S80 Brake rotors 336mm (these have the correct center bore, the XC90 center bore is different)

You can see the Centric part numbers in my previous post, you will find these on ebay if you search by part number.

Hello!
Could you help me? Can I use volvo xc90 336mm front brake calipers with fl2 17" wheel disks?

I don't really understand the question.

If you meant will these calipers fit under 17" wheels, i'm not sure, I have 18" on mine, it looks to be a tight fit, but the Volvo's with these brakes have run 17", so maybe? I can't say for sure. 2008 Freelander 2 HSE Si6 Black/Black - Hers

Me: I’ve put better brakes on my FL2 to help it stop better and perhaps prevent me from hitting another car.
Ins co: We'll have to charge you more for that!

Seriously, if your car was in an accident, would they measure your front discs to see whether they were slightly bigger than standard? Where would it end - would you advise them if you had different composite pads? There might even be a few of you running around with oversize discs or composite pads already. Would you know? Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Steve I don't make the rules but I have seen police accident inspectors at work in a Land Rover main dealers ! It ends with a jail sentence sometimes.

I refer to the chart within:

https://www.moneysupermarket.com/car-insur...ce-prices/

My point is very general as the last thing I want say when buying a house is some arse messing with things like electrics if they are for example a hairdresser by trade and the same goes for cars. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

My renewals up in a few weeks, might pay to get a tow bar fitted beforehand Wink

I would rather spend the money on some new masks Rolling with laughter

I’ve never even thought of modifying the brakes!

Austin A35 pickup.....wouldn't stop
My trusty 1933 Morris Ten.......despite the brake pedal being on the right hand side, still goes faster when pressed
How about a Morris 1000 with the master cylinder in the floor?
Bedford TK with vacuum brakes?
Anything with drum brakes

And a thousand more heaps that didn't want to stop Rolling with laughter
