The 3.2 petrol FL2 has larger disks and use the same caliper and pads - just need a different carrier.

Has anyone tried to see if the focus uses the same caliper carrier bracket? |

I know the Focus RS discs fit the hubs but the RS caliper mounting lugs do not align with the Freelander uprights |

To be honnest I dont think the ST brakes would make much of improvement over standard other than cosmetic I run the 360 mm discs |

I need to be able to run 15 inch wheels for stage rally. Needing to know if the caliper bracket for the st mk2 would fit the freelander2. I'd like to get a kit rather than have a bracket custom made. The custom job would run me $500-1000 over a kit that I can buy off the shelf. |

My fl2/lr2 makes me smile and damnit I want others to know how awesome these cars are. I wanna big that crazy goofball that brings a car that everyone says "well this should be interesting" and win. I've spent probably 10k usd over what I would had I bought a Subaru impreza. I don't care how much sense this doesn't make, I love my 2008 Land Rover LR2 HSE. |

Bit of a thread resurrection, but new here and trying to get my head round this brake upgrade. Much appreciate some clarification for a newbie to the FL2 (and indeed to DIY car maintenance!!):

The carrier is specific for the disk - to cater for different diameters but the FL2 uses the same caliper for all front brakes both I6 and TD4/SD4.

No , I think thats becuase its quicker for dismantlers to remove the carrier/caliper/pads as one unit (just two bolts) rather than take caliper off separately. But obviously the carrrier must fitboth carrier and caliper. Jules |
