Hi everyone! Has anyone come across an improvement in the rear brakes on a freelander after 2013? There is an electronic brake. perhaps as well as the front fits from the volvo?

Sorry not sure what you are asking.
My 2014 FL2 has the electronic parking brake (EPB) - there no difference in braking performance compared to my earlier car. I find the EPB works well and the rear disk and pads are easier to change as there are no separate brake pads for the parking brake.

If you are asking can an early car be upgraded to the EPB then I think it would be very difficult and of minimal benefit for the work involved.
But maybe someone on here has done that modification. Jules

The Evoque or DS larger rear discs and carriers fit

The 3.2 petrol FL2 has larger disks and use the same caliper and pads - just need a different carrier.
I assume its the same as the Evoque and DS. Jules

But there is an off-the shelf disc with the correct center bore, 336 x 28mm disc from Volvo XC70 2013 model that should bolt straight on to the front hubs, the Centric part number is 125.39044 (google it)

I really wanted to put some Brembo calipers on, like the ones from the 04-07 S60R & V70R, but I couldn't find the mounting dimensions anywhere and there is no-one local who has these calipers...

By the way, the bigger Volvo caliper looks IDENTICAL to the caliper used on the Ford Focus ST225. The reason I recognise it is that those calipers are often fitted to the Mondeo ST220 and the Jaguar X-Type as an upgrade. I remember now that they have been refered to as Volvo calipers.

If that's the case, there are off-the-shelf big brake kits for the Focus ST, I wonder if they would bolt up to the Freelander...?

I know the Focus RS discs fit the hubs but the RS caliper mounting lugs do not align with the Freelander uprights

Wanting to see if the mounting bracket from a focus st mk2 would fit the knuckle.

To be honnest I dont think the ST brakes would make much of improvement over standard other than cosmetic I run the 360 mm discs

I need to be able to run 15 inch wheels for stage rally. Needing to know if the caliper bracket for the st mk2 would fit the freelander2. I'd like to get a kit rather than have a bracket custom made. The custom job would run me $500-1000 over a kit that I can buy off the shelf.
