Just picked my FL2 up from he body shop after repairs. Had a prang two weeks ago, my fault. So new front bumper, front passenger side wing, headlight, fog light surround and headlight washer. Seems like a very good job. Happy to get her back and get rid of the awful Kia Rio loan car. |

Off to a family function in Switzerland in a few weeks so had RCV in East Peckham give the motor a quick 'health check' before we leave - largely visual for lights etc, fluids, wheels off etc. Wanted to pre-empt and sort any issues that might crop up whilst on our trip. All passed ok, good to go . . . . . and no charge

Really nice spring day today! I think March is my favourite month of the year. Road surface temperatures return more often to being above the dew point, which means dry surfaces for the first time since October. Sun is returning and day lengths noticeable lengthening. Roads are still quiet as the tourists don’t return until Easter. What’s not to like!

From your photo above, the roads in Scotland haven't improved much since I was last up there.

Went shopping at Tesco for essential groceries for myself and for three elderly neighbours with health problems. Tesco were quite good at limiting the numbers of people in the store and people were quite good at social distancing. The best bit was that Tesco were marshalling people at the tills to maintain social distancing and this meant that there was nobody behind me complaining that I had four lots of shopping and was holding them up. Well done Tesco.

Had a new AGM battery fitted at a mates garage after mine virtually gave up due to lack of use, half unlocked the tailgate which wouldn’t open or close, so I couldn’t lock the vehicle.
