Exactly correct, the DVD updated version I bought from Satnavshop are indeed up to date (as much as any mapping info is!) it has roads on it around our way which are only two years old, so yes it’s a “good‘un”........ Regards

There is an update to the Gen 2.1 system for an issue where the sat nav defaults to Belgium on start up. This is not a map update but a software update to the unit itself. Only able to be carried out using SDD |

Thanks Farmer Chalk, it seems 'We are not Alone! If I find a solution, I will let you know for sure. Interestingly yesterday I set the sat nav to go to a specific address in Manchester (I have to go tomorrow from Mid Wales) and it found it, gave me the quick route and told me how many miles and how long etc. I thought goodoh, turned the ignition off, back on again - still in there, thought mmmm this may work. Got in my car this morning, nothing, back in Belgium, no previous destinations either but maybe tomorrow i can get up a little earlier and go through all that again before I set off. Hopefully I won't need to stop for a loo break otherwise I will have to resert it again. It doesn't matter how many times i select GBR, the car still thinks it is in Belgium! I am taking 2 phones, and an old Tom Tom as backup. just in case. Normally it wouldn't be an issue, but I have a meeting in the city centre & will need to find the parking and don't want to be late! Oh well, we will see. Thanks for all your help everybody. great forum, shame some peeps get a bit stressed with the conversations! [/quote] Thanks Kae for your reply.... definately have the same issue as yours....we also have a further slight issue that we can only enter 5 digits in the postcode field...it’s now become next to useless! Also thanks to LR2hselux for his comments....anyone got an SDD tool in Kent/SE who wants a guinea pig?? |

It’s a technical bulletin, some units respond to an update, others do not and require the control unit to be replaced. |

Do we even know where the control unit is? Sounds expensive! |
