10MPG !!. Yes, you read that correctly. Currently only getting 10mpg. Only doing short journeys ATM so not getting warm enough. I expect the battery to start playing up soon too because of this.

2 day road trip, Mix of motorway and A (ish) roads with a couple of ranges to climb over. Avg 37mpg, which is a nice change from our usual 30.8mpg to and from work.

cold weather has dropped mine a bit, 40/1 mpg for the last circa 12,000 miles has dropped to 35 for the last couple of tanks, its not something I worry about much as long as it stays about the same or there is an obvious reason for change.

I dragged a twin axle transporter with a small saloon on it a few hundred miles last week, it was a mixture of Manchester rush hour traffic and some dual carriageway at night when traffic was light enough to make fair progress, without the car on the trailer consumption was only reduced a bit, still turned about 36/8 mpg but with the car on no better than 30mpg over 150 miles.... I’d bet it was fairly close to maximum train weight and it tows really well so no complaints. It would be nice if reverse gear was a bit lower but hey no complaints really.

Is that correct? We are getting 15 mpg on the short journeys (2-3 miles) your reading of ten seems very low. Regards

I had 37.1MPG on my dash after a recent 54 mile journey from Staffordshire to North Oxfordshire.
Mostly motorway and dual carriageways. Not bad for an SD4 auto.

Usually I get about 30-33MPG on my 40 mile commute.

39.5 on my way into work yesterday, 27 miles of A and B roads, significantly less traffic than normal, A/C off and windows open as the weather was glorious. Very Happy Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
