Your halogens are better than the halogens in the later cars, where they use a single HB3 bulb for dipped and main - it burns out quickly and the beam is not as good. Putting in brighter (hotter) bulbs just means they burn out even quicker.

For a while JLR offered a resistor wire modification for late models, in response to customer complaints, to reduce current to the HB3 bulbs to increase their durability. But its not available now. Jules |

Every vehicle with projector lamps that I have converted to HiD bulbs has never failed an MoT test, as long as they are aimed correctly (and the kit is of good quality) the beam aim and spread is as good as any OEM HiD set-up I’ve driven.
