Dink

My wife has just returned with the car Big Cry Big Cry

She hit a fence, apparently it was the fences fault for being there.

Has anyone used the Landrover accident service or is it best to go directly to my insurance company.

Any advice would be great, thanks.

Ring insurance but insist on getting LR to repair it not the ins co's preferred bodyshop, LR should give you a courtesy car. ban wifey from driving unless you are wanting a drink or two Laughing At work

Really, I hope so, that would softened the blow.

have a look at LR as they will still provide warranty on the parts replaced

Looks to be a new door skin, new sides steps (doubt they sell single step, but you'll have a spare) and trim

So i presume your looking a way more than the excess on your insurance policy Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Hope the sill isn't damaged.

You quite often get a door popping up on ebay and the side mouldings. Had a quick look and couldn't see any doors but there are side mouldings there at the moment.

FYI door skin is about £380 unpainted as I found out when someone put a dent in mine. Evil or Very Mad

All told the total cost to replace the door was nearly £1400. ______________________

to be honest by the time you have paid for this yourself

it will be way cheaper to claim on the insurance, if your ncb is protected, you might not even have a increase in premium Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Yes, I went through my insurance (land rover) as the car was just 12 months old when it happened. It was done by approved land rover body shop and all I had to pay was the excess. ______________________
