United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Auto Santorini Black
New beginnings

Hi all, new to the LR world but trade in my Audi TT and pick up our 09 FL2 on Sunday from York so can't wait.

New addition to the family due next week (baby girl) so needed to rethink the priorities and transport arrangements!

Great cars, great site.

Good service from York much better than our local dealers in the North East. Also will get a couple of tickets for a LR test day to show us how we should drive a 4x4 and make sure we know what all the buttons do.

Look forward to reading and contributing to the site.

Simon

Well, as it's going to be a girl I would have said pink Rolling Eyes ______________________

Hi nope pink is reserved for her stuff! this is black - I have tried to add spec to the signature.
All the baby stuff is sorted now and we just await her appearance.

Armstrong Massey - yes

The wheels are 19" but not seen too many around like them - sort of 7 sets of twins or 14 spokes in total.
It is an XS (with style pack I think) but it seemed to have all the extras I liked without the additional price tag! The seats are part leather but with a black suede which looks nice and because of this I dont think heated seats are neccessary. From memory I think it has clear indicators - I have seen many discussions on here about.

Would of liked a sat nav but not for an extra £3k. With the posts on this site it looks like there are some good alternative options to factory fit from new. It has a black interior with a subtle chrome trim as opposed to the wood finish of the HSE.

Regards,
Simon

PS good luck with the next month or so npinks - my wife has had enough now and just wants her here! due on the 3rd March so hope she does not make an appearance tomorrow as I plan to pick up the new FL2!! I suppose I could always do that on Monday! FL2 09 XS, Automatic, Santorini Black,

So you will be the proud father picking up your wife and child from the hospital in a black fl2 Thumbs Up I know that feeling well, It will possibly be the slowest most careful bit of driving you have ever done, but also the most rewarding Very Happy At work

You could be right CG!

Still no signs of a baby yet so still on to pick up the other new addition in approx 12 hours!!

Just downloaded some tunes onto the IPOD for the journey back but dont have a lead - anyone exactly what I will need to hook up an IPOD and a convenient place that will sell on? -Is it just a double ended 3.5mm jack plug?

it is a double sided plug, but your days of playing music in the car are over, until about 6mths when the nursery rhyme cd's appear Wink At work

Thanks! - I think..

I'm not big on nursery rhymes though. I still have to drive to work and back and if I'm lucky keep my one week away ski trip up with the lads (!)

Hello

Hiya

We're having a bit of a new (to us) car time at the moment. Step-Daughter just passed her test and had to have a Corsa (don’t they all?) Lady Hooky III is swapping her 107 for a 57 plate Subaru Justy (we know what we’re doing) and I’ve just flogged my 05 Subaru Forester XT on eBay. We’re picking up an 07 plate FL2 from Hillendale this weekend.

So far I’m very impressed in test rides etc and I have to say the only reservation has to be about reliability. Time will tell. We’ve trawled around any number of dealers and have already built up a picture of who we’d do business with; we’ll say no more on that! Whistle

Hooky
