I believe that the 2019/20 update for the Gen2.1 system should be available with in a few weeks, so it would be worth hanging on for a bit and checking the website to see when this becomes available.

I read the reviews of the recommended site & people are saying it takes 2 or 3 hours to download, my car shuts down after 5mins does that effect the downloading? Do it now ! Your a long time dead !! |

Yes it does you need to take the car for a drive of keep going out to the car or leave it started |

If your car shuts down before it is completed then the update will restart at the point that it had got to, it does mean that the satnav is not available until the update is completed. I think that it also requires you to shut down at the end of the update so that it can get a clean restart with the new maps. From memory I think your favourites are kept, but personally I have purchased a new TomTom as it has quarterly updates so it is more up to date and cost me only marginally more than the latest USB update. MY13 HSE Lux Santorini Black Gone
