But the map update covers the whole of Europe where road building isn't so glacial. Rolling Eyes

I have driven/ridden across no man's land many, many times in Europe when a new bypass isn't on the satnav mapping which is only a couple of years old.

And, in fact most of the Roman roads in the UK were abandoned after they left. Especially in comparison with France for instance. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE

I have just returned from a week in northern France in my MY14, I lost count of the number of new roundabouts and junction layouts which were not on my sat nav and even found myself on a new peage motorway at one point that didn't exist. By comparison the UK road building programme is glacial. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

The Satnavishop are advertising the 2019-20 DVD update but only the 2018-19 USB.

When I questioned them earlier this year they thought that the USB would not be updated until end May (if it stayed in line with last year)

I bought the update (2019) disc and replaced the old disc under the seat, turned the car on and didn’t get any kind of update message, the system just worked as before, so I am hoping I didn’t get conned and it update/worked immediately. Rolling Eyes Regards

David

Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me......

Please let me know if anything in my post offends you, as I may wish to offend you again......

The maps are read as required. The delay was from firmware updates. Since these are not Land Rover discs my guess is that there are no firmware updates. Silver 2009 HSE
