In the Top Gear Review link that cyberil posted http://www.topgear.com/uk/land-rover/freelander-2 , Top Gear refers to pricey insurance as the reason the FL2 only gets 4/20 for running costs. I wondered how much do you guys in the UK pay for your FL2 insurance

Just renewing, best so far is £365, 10k miles, wife named but only 2 years no claims bonus which makes the difference. Would be closer to £250 otherwise. Phil |

I do 25000kms (15000miles) per year but that does not account for that much of a price difference. We pay at least 2 to 3 times as much here in Belgium. Very strange... |

Thanks for the tip Npinks. I struggled to get the right insurance as most only offer 30 / 60 days cover.

When I changed from FL1 to FL2 my insurance costs (with same company) remained exactly the same.

Churchill £275, 9 years no claims (protected) and hubby on (diabetic) with 12000 miles , just renewed with churchill after red 1 was written off thought the premium would go through the roof but no change so really happy about that. |
