Redex- Blue anybody used it?

Read a thread on Disco3 that somebody has been using Redex-Diesel (Blue) for his TDV6 and the benefits seems to be improved MPG

Anybody else used this on a regular basis as a fuel additive?

Just bought myself 4 bottle of it (£9.76,or £2.44 ea or £1.44 a tank) or which equates to 8 full tanks of diesel

Each bottle does two tank fulls at 50litre, but at 65litre i am going to be slightly below the ratio.

I average on Tesco diesel around the 385 miles to a full tank, so I'll report back if it changes (though since there was no Tesco when i had 4 miles range left the start tank is BP standard diesel) which some people can make a difference anyway

Is this not more or less the same as using two stroke oil as recommended by Yamaha Fan?

yes, i presume it will have similar effects as adding 2stroke, but atleast the redex says you can add it to the diesel on the bottle. Smile Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

385 to a full tank? Big Cry My commiserations Nick but then you may be a rich man who could care less about fuel prices Thumbs Up I've checked my consumption as indicated in the doodah on the dash as well as actual by mileage against a full tank and I'm getting better than 500 miles tank range. Mind you, I've been driving like my Granny. Very Happy Also available in Clean.

whether paid out of my own money or the company, i don't drive it any different

on my way to work I have to go past 3 schools, so its not foot to the floor driving, it just doesn't get time to warm up, as we all know diesels are terrible when cold

I think the mpg i get is way below what i should expect to get, its the one thing that Censored me off with the FL2.

I would look at a remap for towing torque and improved mpg, but not sure how long i am going to have the FL2, offically another year, unoffically i am dropping hints like mad for a swap at work.

2T oil did Censored all, so i might as well look at Redex or a Audi Q5 240bhp S-Line, then at least i get a bit of power with my mpg too Rolling Eyes Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
