Reform Parliament. There I agree with you.

We need to get rid of the House of Lords, replace it with a smaller assembly, but with members elected for longer period, say 12 years (on a rolling basis where a third come up for re-election every 4 years).

We then need to trim done the size of the House of Commons, and have them run for a fixed 4years and all face re-election.

Also a redesign of the debating chambers, so they don't waste their time glaring and shouting at each other.

Not sure how to achieve it, but perhaps the Upper House could be made up of Regional Representatives voted in to give each Region equal numbers. Still over a longer (more stable) term, and of course what ever political colour you want.

This could give us, 'out in the sticks', a better voice in the corridors of power.

I find it staggering that we’ve wasted an entire 2 1/2 years of government, pi**ed off so many allies, emboldened Trump, suffered the indignity of nearly 2 years of Boris Johnson as Foreign Secretary and achieved next to nothing to please a marginal 51.9 to 48.9% majority, after a laughably oversimplified referendum question was put to the electorate.

I was patriotic and saw a proper future for the UK, until we humiliated ourselves on the world stage with this never ending, self inflicted, Pythonesque farce.

I’m not sure whether to feel sorry for Mrs May; charged with achieving the unachievable, to make real the wild promises of fools, to a Parliament that will never agree on anything that she comes up with. She has a veneer of Thatcheresque gumption, but there’s no substance. She’s hopelessly over promoted and is not the person to fix this mess.

There was only one person capable of leading the negotiations, as there would have been very few in the first place.

Unfortunately, "the establishment" are terrified of him, because he stands for action, rather than namby-pamby political correctness 130110CK5, scourge of the modern world.

Therefore, he was immediately tarnished as a wayyyyycissst, and excluded from any discussions.

I'm not for a second saying that he was and is the answer. But he can't do any worse, surely, than the current corrupt set-up. At least he still calls a spade a spade....

Looking at Yorky Bob's Montage above, I see that most of those pictured are refusing to come up with a plan, leaving PM May (and the rest of the country) to try to sort out their mess.

It should have been a clean break from the day after the referendum result nigh on 3 years ago.. No ifs, no buts.

The MAJORITY voted to leave, not for a 'deal' which keeps the pigs snouts in the proverbial trough.

I really do not see how it is so difficult for some people to understand. Leave means just that!

Did it take the UK 3yrs to enter the European Community ?
