I have a friend who works for Skoda, VAG have already increased their import tax on cars to the UK. Could be just an excuse to increase prices generally though. |

According to the BBC guy it could be due to the recent trade deal between the EU and Japan which means that Honda have no incentive now to have a base in the EU due to big reduction in import tariffs. Unintended consequences? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

A possible permutation, most certainly. All that that would confirm to anyone with an ounce of commercial acumen is that the EU is not just the (unelected) bully that already we know that it is, but one that would stab its own (soon-to-be-past) and present member states in the back for its own self gratification.

Well that's me told. I will go back to doing what I joined this forum for, to find out a few things about the FL2 and help any others , if I can. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011) FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 79k+ miles) (MY2015) Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History (Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?) |

Really ? The problem is that Thatchers Children borrow more year on year as the chart clearly shows and then try to blame others. They are actually fiscally illiterate and blatant liars. News Flash - Good move May (not). https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-47282603 FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years FL2 MY13 TD4 GS Current |

Don't include me in that - I have never borrowed anything in my life, other than a small mortgage in 1989 which was redeemed early (inside 4 years).

4 years ! I cleared mine in half that time in 1981 when interest rates were over 13% as a socialist and had a second house also paid for in the next 3 years

Thats just it - I don't! Its just money after all, and I plan to bow out with as little as possible... If I did care about it, I would probably be leasing all manner of vehicles through the business, and flaunting it like others tend to, but I am quite happy with my lot in life,I happily pootle about in my old Freelander, it owes me nothing, and money, whilst nice to have some in the bank, has never been a motivator or guiding force for me. Guess thats why I never became a Yuppie in the mid 80's....was far more interested in having a few beers on a Friday night with normal people than dining at La Gavroche like all the city boys at the time were. As the old adage goes....nobody ever had money problems until they had money! |

and had we remained we would have influenced the new Japan EU trade agreement. We should include Singapore in there as well as obviously Brexiteer Dyson would not be moving his UK HQ there had there not been a new EU trade agreement while we were all asleep at the wheel.

Robert Buckland gives a very good explanation of his views earlier this year.
