TV news media are all leading on this. Just as well it happened on a quiet news day when there are no other major issues e.g. in parliament to report ... oh, wait a minute ... |

Police will clear any hazards off the carriageway, most traffic patrol vehicles will carry a brush for this purpose, an ordinary police response vehicle does not carry one. It is for road service / council to maintain and clean the road surface. (To me the car in the photos looks green, not blue? Perhaps the lighting?) Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948 2014 Orkney grey Freelander SD4 GS. 2004 Zambezi silver Discovery 2 Td5 (Gone) 1963 Surf blue Morris Mini Minor Super de Luxe (my little toy) |

Still seems to be confusion on the news this morning that it was a a Range/Land Rover. Almost an assumption that Royals would only be in a Range Rover, I wonder if the JLR brand department note this. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

That's not the one that he pranged. OXR 1 is the Balmoral/Windsor vehicle. The Reg for that one that rolled yesterday was OE63 OGX, and was indeed a MY14 HSE in Aintree Green, registered January 2014. The reason that it has an Revenue Weight of 2505kg is to take into account all the bullet-proof glass and armour in the door cards, floor pan etc. etc... The crashed Freelander had only done 3,100 miles at it last mot in April 2018. Shame that it`s now a right off with such a low mileage! |
