Yes they do deform and even if they are not its good practice to remove and clean the muck out.

Yes mine have come off too I’ve repaired the metal underneath and left it at that. I’ve seen on here people get some rubber from eBay that doesn’t have the metal through it as I remember they are pretty cheap. |

Just replaced mine with some from eBay. About £46. Does the job sort of, but nothing like the original even though they have LR part numbers. Loads of crud underneath them. |

Have a read of this thread - I have replaced the OEM with rubber fitments at a fraction of the cost and they are working well |

I think a little confusion has crept in here. The wheel arch EDGING does deform over time due to the metal inside corroding and can be replaced/changed for about £50 in total, the wheel arch LINERS are a separate item that, as stated, occasionally need removing and cleaning behind but don't cause too much concern themselves. |

It is just the moulding that grips the metal edge - pretty tight so far - I suppose you could use sealant but I didn't Good luck with your quest No Longer the owner of a 2013MY Fuji White GS "Fiat Lux" a philosophy not a car |
