I had a puncture this week and needed a new tyre. The new tyre became my spare. Since putting the new tyre in the boot I’ve noticed a fish smell in my car. Anyone else had this? Just a little coincidencental with the new tyre. Could the smell be coming from something else? There’s no food in my car, is there something else I should look at? I’ll change the spare over tomorrow and see if that sorts it. The old tyre had worn down to about the same tread depth as the spare so I thought leave the spare on the car and put the new tyre in the boot. I had all new tyres last year so to be fair the tread depth on the opposite tyre isn’t much difference to the new tyre. The air in a tyre can, to me, smell a bit fishy. But you'd hope the new one wasn't leaking air... FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

I changed over the spare tyre on the car yesterday and the smell wasn’t no where near as bad yesterday afternoon. I also put a cheap air freshener in the car last night so at the moment the smell has gone.

The tyre was fitted at Wern Garage and the compressor sucks in sea air
