Not the first time they will have shot themselves in the foot Rog and should think it will not be the last Seems manufacturers are developing these fancy cars but not the support network just to please Gov. and EU. If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

when I bought my current house 4 years ago, a council representative came round knocking on everyones doors offering free wall mounted car chargers, but sadly I couldn't have had one fitted at that time as the fuse box was still on coiled wire inserts so didn't conform to current standards. Ive since had it upgraded to a modern breaker box but the free offer has now disappeared. (not that im in the market for an electric car anyway but I would be sorely tempted with a defender hybrid if I had the money ) |

I did have a 'free' electric charging point fitted at home, but then changed my mind and bought another FL2.

Amazing, time is needed to make sure it is right. Yeah right so a Land Rover without faults, the shock will kill us. The delay in getting it to market whilst Jim Ratcliffe designs the competition [url]https://www.theguardian.com/business/2018/feb/14/german-firm-to-build-successor-to-land-rover-defender I’m going to wait for both cars to be on the market for at least a year. Then hopefully l can buy with confidence having read users reports. My local dealer has told me to expect to see the car towards end of this year in showrooms. When nodoubt they will open the order books and have production booked for a year, very quickly.

The last County 90 I bought in 1997 was £23,000 list with the spec we ordered , although I seem to remember getting £3000 contribution as they were clearing the 300 TDi to bring in the TD5 . The Defender was never a “ cheap “ car . The bettter specced Isuzu and Toyota trucks are over £40,000 when vat is added . 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

I spoke to LR Taunton about the new Defender when I was looking at the FL2, sales guy now has me on his list, he mentioned they would be taking £1000 deposits around September and was expecting the Defender being available early (ish) 2019. SWMBO was there also, and I didn't see a huge "NO" on her face - Although I'm usually wrong with these things News of 2020 and £40k+ is rather disappointing |
