I like the wooden floors.
Takes me back to some of the old sports cars my friends had when I was young. They were OK to travel in except on rainy days when the water used to blow up through the gaps.

Although I have to admit to quite liking the Brown Interior (the 2nd shown) they have designed, and a (not so) hidden benefit of tyres wide enough to allow the Defender to water ski. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015)
Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History
(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

It seems that the JLR are considering a Dual Cab Pickup version of the Defender 110 after all.

I have read about it in several different magazines, quoting Nick Collins, Jaguar Land Rover's executive director of vehicle programs, who said that a pickup version of the Defender is doable despite the SUV's monocoque construction.

https://www.autoevolution.com/news/the-lan...56303.html

Of course it may be marketing hype to cover up the fact that JLR are going to cut the number of different models quite drastically.

From what I read the Transverse Engine Platform is being dropped, leaving only the Electric Platform for the smaller DS/Evoque Models to use. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

Reminds me of a Forward Control, a Renault Espace and a VW Bus.

Well at least they can delete the “virtual bonnet” option to see the rocks! Regards

I rather like it, and its style.

Main motor in rear, batteries centre, and smaller motor (4x4) up front, all under a nice flat floor.

All part of JLR's march towards the higher profit luxury car market - looks different and would appeal to those that can afford a decent yacht and what to stand out in their motor too Jules

Spotted this the other day.

The window 'NOBO Board' is colour toned to the body, is that normal ? Only ever seen the cream/white panels.

A Khaki coloured new-defender 110 passed me on the motorway today. At first I thought it may be a military owned version, but as it went past I deduced from its private plate that it was civilian and probably owned by a chap called Johnny.

The colour was a real army matt khaki.

By the way I have noticed there has been a complete change in the Defender's motorway manners since it has been reinvented.

No longer do I pass them plodding up the slow lane, the new ones seem to flash by me in the fast lane. They appear now to be quick and stable. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
