Owned my Freelander 2 for a couple of years, my first landrover after years of owning mitsubishi shotguns (apologies lol). Lots of good information and tips on this site which I have only discovered recently so I have decided to join the community and hopefully pass on some knowledge and experience to others and also learn a lot from all the experience on here.

and I like it.
Previously I had a Subaru Forester, but only for a year and it replaced a
Freelander 1 that i’d Had for 5 years.

Hi All,

Came across this forum by chance as I was looking how to remove the front head restraints which had me completely beaten!

So, as of yesterday I am the proud owner of a lovely 2013 Freelander 2 2.2 TD4 HSE, I have been driving an X-Trail Aventura for the last five years and it has been an excellent and reliable car, but it had got a bit long in the tooth and as I hate the new shape, I decided to have a change and quite by accident came across this showroom condition Freelander, I absolutely love it to bits and am looking forward to at least five years with it, maybe many more.

It is having its first run to Scotland soon and I cant wait.

Any advice or tips will be appreciated and I look forward to making some new friends.

I've recently joined the forum having purchased a 56 plate FL2 HSE. Enjoying the car, in fact it's becoming a bit of a hobby. I'm useless where car mechanics are concerned but I'm sure I'll learn!

Hello, just purchased my WAG a 2013 Freelander 2 HSE Auto SD4 in grey. Upgrade from her Qashqai!

Im not a petrol head or at all useful under the bonnet but im here to learn.

Lots of reading on this forum pre-purchased helped with our decision, so glad to finally be a part of the community!

So, I've had 5 Freelanders in row, 3 being '2's... 18 years of relatively trouble-free enjoyable motoring - particularly when it snows!

I joined the forum (thanks for having me) as I'm selling my current Freelander 2 and thought I'd get a good feel for prices etc here but after browsing for a while, I'm already starting to doubt my decision to sell!

I've had a Freelander 2 (2010 (10) GS TD4.E) for almost a year, love it!

Due to medical reasons, I may have to change it for an automatic but they seem quite rare.... Trawling through Autotrader!!!
