They didn't look too bright when i saw you going in the wrong direction on the way home

What worrys me is that my head lights picked up a speed camera on the side of the road on the way there pointing in the opposite direction, but i didn't see one on the way back Shocked

Guess i'll have to watch my letter box for a week or two Big Cry Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Friend of mine just got nobbled by a mobile unit sitting at the roadside looking for all the world like a roadworks type vehicle, orange lights on the roof, plastic barriers, guys outside the van wearing hi-vis, no police or speed partnership signage in sight. Shocked

As he went past the van he saw the camera in the fully open back doors, to late to do anything.

That was Monday lunch time, Thursday morning the letter arrive bang, 36 in a 30. He's elected to take the 1 day course at a cost of £110 instead of the points on his licence. He said it was the cheapest option.

Apparently the going rate is £100 per point among the cash strapped student population Shocked Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!

Been looking at the AA route planner whichs shows speed cameras, and i think my satnav brought me a slightly different way home than on the way there

I knew there was a speed camera coming up in one of the villages, so i don't think i will have been going too fast time will tell Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I'd be interested to find a sytem that can 'accurately' tell you the limit on the road you're travelling on, given that signage is often cr4p!

My TomTom 720 has some limits programmed in BUT probably only covers 1/3 of all roads and of those that it does cover then half of them are wrong !!! Evil or Very Mad Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!

my Nuvi250 seems to know all the speed limits of the roads I've travelled on, even the ones in France.

What a clever little unit it is Thumbs Up Laughing ______________________

Does anybody know were the closest switch power supply is for the glove box area

Idea Idea is to run a mini USB lead to the desired location for the detector for its power feed (currently near the rear view mirror)
Using one of these to plug it into

Then a longer normal sized USB lead which has a mini USB connector on the other end

Thinking i could split this into the cars power and have in the glove box

It might not work, often you need the correct lead for your product, I tried a similar arrangement for my garmin and the garmin thinks its connected to a pc and goes into usb mode. I remember scotster having similar problems, I think there is some electric trickery in the proper plug? At work
