United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Martinique Blue

The only safe one I know of is the front cig lighter socket just behind the gear stick. I've fed a Tomtom and a DAB radio off there from underneath. I basically got a couple of these and spliced them onto the existing wire using scotch locks, then just plugged in the power adapters that came with each device.. Works fine and 100% discreet with all the wires routed behind the dash, although getting to the cable to tap the power off was a bit of an embuggernace. 09MY FL2 Td4 XS, Style Pack, Privacy Glass, Martinique Blue.. oh so very blue..

Or just stick to the speed limits

Not a problem if you know what the speed limit is; just that there's some pretty dreadful signage issues around. Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!

been out a tried the cigar lighter usb adapter and the lead that connects to the PC,

Good news it doesn't thinks its connected to the PC Smile
bad news made the unit make a buzzing noise Sad

So i will splice into a feed and run a cable up to its position, and uses a connector like frobius to enable the use of the original power lead Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Snooper Sapphire plus

Just bought a Snooper Sapphire Plus, its a sat nav with the Snooper database built in. Bought it from Halfrauds, they seem to have silly price on it. Didn't quite get the proper info about using the camera database, I thought it was good to go right out of the box with a subscription system to update the database. However out of the box only the sat nav functions, there is no camera database, you have to register the unit and subscribe before you can get hold of the database.

Registering and the download process aren't quite as straight forward as they could be, but its up and running now. What I particualry like about the camera warnings is that visual warning uses the entire screen and it flashes up the speed limit in large numbers on the screen.

As a navigation device it works well but is limited by its small screen, it does have audio but to be honest its a joke!!! It isn't even as good as the speaker phone my Nokia 6300.

I'm not a great speed merchant these days, this is only to help in those moments when the concentration lapses in an unfamiliar area. Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!

Pity the LR NAV/SAT doesn’t have all the speed cameras plotted in as well as it does all filling stations. It could then warn you each time you approach a blink-box the same way you are warned when fuel gets low Thumbs Up 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Belgium 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Santorini Black

The problem with factory fitted radios and satnavs is that the deals for it were struck several years before. By the time they launch the car the technology is already 3 to 4 years old. Hence also the somethimes rediculous prices for in car entertainment.

On the other hand Tomtom has enabled speedcameras as long as 5 years back when I installed it on TomTom 4, so the technology isn't that new. Only problem then was police was still setting up those cameras all over the place so you had to update every few weeks.

What I do like is systems like http://www.csb.nl/download/producten/DSS_WINTER_2008_English.pdf which can completely replace what's in the car wright now. Too bad there's no FL2 version wright now.

I think I'm going to mail them to request if the have plans towards a FL2 version.
