The only safe one I know of is the front cig lighter socket just behind the gear stick. I've fed a Tomtom and a DAB radio off there from underneath. I basically got a couple of these and spliced them onto the existing wire using scotch locks, then just plugged in the power adapters that came with each device.. Works fine and 100% discreet with all the wires routed behind the dash, although getting to the cable to tap the power off was a bit of an embuggernace. 09MY FL2 Td4 XS, Style Pack, Privacy Glass, Martinique Blue.. oh so very blue.. |

Not a problem if you know what the speed limit is; just that there's some pretty dreadful signage issues around. Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor ... but not any more ... ... psst look at my gallery! Company cars ... a thing of the past - May 2013. |

Just bought a Snooper Sapphire Plus, its a sat nav with the Snooper database built in. Bought it from Halfrauds, they seem to have silly price on it. Didn't quite get the proper info about using the camera database, I thought it was good to go right out of the box with a subscription system to update the database. However out of the box only the sat nav functions, there is no camera database, you have to register the unit and subscribe before you can get hold of the database.

Pity the LR NAV/SAT doesn’t have all the speed cameras plotted in as well as it does all filling stations. It could then warn you each time you approach a blink-box the same way you are warned when fuel gets low 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

The problem with factory fitted radios and satnavs is that the deals for it were struck several years before. By the time they launch the car the technology is already 3 to 4 years old. Hence also the somethimes rediculous prices for in car entertainment.
