Had a great day out. A big thank you to all those who helped organising the event Bow down

Was good to see so many Freelanders out. Well done to Lee and CG for attempting the tricky track in the morning, but I can't believe no one else tried out anything in the quarry!

Speaking to Smarticus on the optional route that (i didn't go on Very Happy )

He said "the chap in the black FL2 really showed how to drive in mud ruts, by straddling them"

So well done CG Bow down Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

This mainly due to me being too tight to repair my farm roads so mud and ruts is a daily occurrence for me in my ford ranger, although the fl2 only uses the main farm entrance which is tarmaced.
With a few inches more ground clearance the fl2's would have done that route no problems at all, they are considerably more nimble than discos, however as we saw the Discos came into their own in the quarry. Shame cumbrian canary didnt have a go down the steep bits, he was tempted at one point Laughing At work
