washed the underneath this morning, surprising clean actually, no real damage to be seen just a bit of bending to the tinfoil heat shields near the tank. The inside however is pretty full of pine needles due to driving with the windows open when negotiating the worse sections.

I had the car on the ramp this afternoon give it a wash and check out if there was any damage it faired up quite well had a little dent in the floor pan and a bit of forest in the odd place I was quite suprised to see how close it was to the diesel tank if you had grounded out on a sharpe rock it would rip the tank open like a ripe peach it is in bit of a vunerable postion I think the freelander holds it own on the tracks but when you get to deep ruts it has not got the clearance it should have for off road if they had put air suspension on it would be had to beat 07my Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Baltic Blue,Privacy Glass,Ebony black leather,Land rover detachable towbar,S/S Side bars,Climair wind deflectors,Bramble Rash, |

Good to hear you made it back Rover60 and also that your machine isn't damaged. I'm sure you'll be keeping a keen eye out for tree stumps in the future!! |
