It was quite bad around these parts earlier today, a bad hail storm on top of the sprinkling of snow last night made the roads very slippery indeed.
Which was the hill you tackled?

Soor Taz I could not tell which hill but if it went wrong it was a dip in the river or hit the wall on the other side,we had to take a detour as the way we would normally go to Layburn was closed.

I always feel so lucky that I have Eva this time of year...
The farm tracks we've done recently have been scary!!
The hillier ones seem to be iced up but often have rivulets running over them.
I just pop it into GGS and the HDC and let the car do her thing.
I'm still not 100% struck on my tyres though...
Happy careful winter motoring
MM

When you were using the HDC Did you try speeding it up and down with the Cruise Control buttons ? That is a neat trick on the FL2 Thumbs Up 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

On my 2014 manual, it works in 1,2,R & Neutral. Very Happy

A useful trick is to engage it before a slippery hill climb. If you then fail the climb and dip the clutch as you shudder to a halt the car rolls back under control from the HDC (though 3mph is quite quick in reverse! Shocked )

Best to check this somewhere safe in case it doesn't work on earlier cars.....
