Me too, but I can't wait another 6 months for it to be washed, and I work on the principle that the cleaner a car is the better it goes.

Took mine for a good clean today also popped into an auto-electrics place ( not the big orange and black one ) and got quoted £265. to fit (NOT SUPPLY) a duo dash cam !!! Shocked anyone think this sounds right ?

Haven't got any ideas about DIY in this stuff and am too scared to take any trims or linings out myself in case Embarassed Big Cry If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

£250 is definitely not sounding right just to fit a dash cam. !! Shocked

for the front one the cable runs across the top of the screen and down behind the A pillar (remove the AIRBAG plastic cover... theres no airbag behind it just a screw holding the trim in so it can just pull away then) then down the door trim under the rubber to the footwell fusebox. Find a suitable fuse slot to use and plug in a piggy back fuse/holder. Sorted Very Happy
You can buy the install kit from Hellfrauds for about £30 and the job takes about an hour to do.

Not sure what the fuse is for a rear window one but still fairly simple to the fuse box under the boot floor but again an hour should see you right.

Cheers RogB, it doesn't sound that bad you way you've put it but NO airbag in pillar ? what's that all about? Rolling Eyes

Got any recommendations of make/model ? If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

took ours into barrets main dealer in ashford kent for the FREE winter health check, spent a happy hour or so drinking their hot choccy and buiscuits, also climbing in and out of various new cars, swmbo was well impressed with new r/r sport, when you open the doors the side steps pop out from under the car.had a good look at the r/r velar, absolutely stunning car, just need a degree and a few ology,s to work out the computer screens Whistle
they asked if we wanted it valeted and washed but it was lashing down so told them not to bother.they went through the service list and all was fine,no advisory,s at all,so really happy.very pleasant staff as well:thumbsup: gone

Been driving around the Dales this week. Walked with friends from Linton to Burnsall and back via Grassington - crossing the river Wharfe over this lovely suspension foot bridge near Hedben

Hi Rog
It is a 59 plate (sept 09)we pxd our 2010 xs man for it in July this year from a main ford dealer in south Devon,it had full guy salmon history and 74k on the clock and was due a full service which they did after consulting local landrover dealers to see what had to be done, they put a new mot on it after replacing the power steering pipes, one of which was corroded so they did both.it was odd as when we went from Biddeford ( north Devon) to look at it,there were a lot of land rovers and jags there, the sales guy said they sold a lot of them.really happy with it,nice to get back to an auto and all the toys.tows the tin tent beautifully.
Cheers

ah ok so not my old one then which was a 2010 10 plate pre facelift so basically the same as yours..... santorini black with beige leather, fully loaded, loved it. Only moved on from that to an Evoque when the dealer made me a good offer but it turned out to be a disaster. Wish id never got rid of the FL2 !!......... which is why, although not what I really wanted, I was not exactly unhappy to move back to an auto FL2 with all the toys. The SD4 is so much better than the TD4 IMO, really nice improvements and upgrades made to it.

I did nothing in my Freelander 2 today .... That said, I brushed off the accumulated snow esp. on the door bits, since it is warm out here, and the snow has turned to sleet ..... but tonight it will freeze up .... which means I wont be able to open the doors .... i'll be glued out !
