If you have different tyre brands on the rear axle you need to change them to match, ideally you should have the same make of tyre on each axle and tyre changes should be carried out as an axle pair as a minimum. If the front need changing I would be inclined to change all 4 four to match |

Run all four same depth the same make and move front to back every 10,000 miles (same side). Otherwise expect to screw up the Haldex / transmission IMHO. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Firstly, new tyres should always go on the back wheels (Google for the reason - plenty of advice on that from tyre manufacturers and dealers). That leaves you with two odd tyres on the front. It probably won't hurt your transmission (FL2 is much more forgiving than FL1 in this respect) but could make for some interesting steering/braking anomalies.

Ok people thanks very much for the helpful tips, I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy 4 New tyres instead of the 2.
